A seminar took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Tuesday, World Population Day.
Present there were officials from the public health and relevant units, representative of the United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations resident coordinator and UNDP resident representative in the DPRK and members of the missions of the international bodies and staff members of foreign embassies here.
Speeches were made there.
Noting that the UN Population Fund set “Family Planning: Empowering People, Developing Nations” as the theme for this year, the speakers expressed expectation that the seminar would mark an important occasion in strengthening the service for reproductive health including the family planning.
On the same day the Population Centre of the DPRK released its special bulletin “Population News”.
